Fermatta is proud to welcome Professor Georgia Carrera as the new President for Fermatta Music Academy’s National Council.
With an amazing career in higher education, music and the entertainment industry spanning over 25 years, we are happy to welcome her to the helm of the Fermatta Music Academy’s National Council operation.
Prof. Carrera was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she attended the University of Buenos Aires. Her background in music, music marketing, music branding, broadcasting, entertainment and university education is almost unmatched.
Prof. Carrera was part of the Hispanic Council for the Pepperdine University in California; as Director for Special Events at the Universal Amphitheater and then as Director of Latin Concerts for House of Blues Concerts, Mrs. Carrera-Sanchez worked with some of the biggest artists in the world, including Roger Waters, Luis Miguel, Shakira, Juan Gabriel, Julio Iglesias, Fito Paez, Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Fernandez and Ozomatli, to name a few.
As Director for Network Relations and Community Affairs at Univision Radio, Prof. Carrera-Sanchez was responsible for coordinating one of the largest shows in the United States radio broadcasting history, and coordinated the first Spanish Language radio interview with President Barack Obama.
Prof. Carrera has worked with countless international artists and directed many award winning production companies. She has produced Emmy Award nominated television shows and her accolades as a coordinator include some of the most prestigious awards in radio and music as the Marconi Award given by the National Association of Broadcasters for best Radio Show and Personality of the year (Univision Radio). She was also Production Coordinator for UPN-Channel 13 and Associate Producer for UNO Productions.
Some of Prof. Carrera’s additional credits include: Univision Television Group – New Year’s Eve countdown broadcast, Univision Television Group – Estefan Enterprises – Nuestra Navidad Special, Univision Television Group – Premios Lo Nuestro, the MTV Music Video Awards, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the Soap Opera Awards, the Ritmo Latino Music Awards, the Que Buena Awards, the Aids Project Los Angeles “Commitment To Life”, the KSSE 97.5 FM “Reventon Super Estrella” and the Miller Company “Solo Con Invitacion”, to name a few.
Regarding her arrival as the new President for Fermatta’s National Council, Prof. Carrera said:
“Throughout my career I have been very fortunate to be part of very important moments in the entertainment industry, but none of them match the opportunity of being part of such an amazing Institution as Fermatta; never before have I seen a place in the entire world as professional and committed in positively changing culture and education in the world as Fermatta. I am truly honored and proud to be here”.
Due to all of the above, Fermatta Music Academy would like to open its doors to Prof. Georgia Carrera, confident that this new period will be one full of success and many achievements which, guided by her wide experience, will maintain Fermatta’s worldwide leadership.
